If you’re interested in Boarding or Recreation/ Play Days , Buck’s Virginia offers 18 landscaped acres including walking trails, a Frisbee field, a fenced Agility and Games yard, and even a 50,000-gallon swimming pool. The facility is located in Newsoms, VA, about an hour and a half outside of Richmond and Virginia Beach, or two hours from Raleigh, NC.

Puppy Two Week Board and Train
Would you like your puppy potty trained? Taught to ring a bell? To alert and build on basic obedience foundation? We will teach your puppy manners, obedience, commands (come, sit, down, heel and out) this package focuses on building a great start in obedience and manners.

Basic One Week Board and Train
Don’t have time to train your dog? Just wish he or she would listen and obey when you give a command? We make sure your dog can do at least the basic commands of come, sit, down, heel, place, off, leave it, and drop it.
This is the package that will do all that for you and all you have to do is maintenance when you get your K9 companion back. Your dog will come live in our home and be trained to know the commands listed above and then we return them and teach you how to maintain their level of obedience.

Advanced Two Week Board and Train
Don’t have time to train your dog? Just wish he or she would listen and obey when you give a command? Want your dog to be a rock star at obedience? We will teach the basic commands of come, sit, down, heel, place, off, leave it and drop it, or give as well as adding extended distance sit/down, sit in motion, and get them off-leash if safe.
This is the package that will do all that for you and all you have to do is maintenance when you get your K9 companion back. Your dog will come live in our home and be trained to know the commands listed above and then we return them and teach you how to maintain their level of obedience.

Aggression / Behavior Modification Separation Anxiety Three Week Board and Train
Three-week board and train in one of our trainer’s homes to train your K9 in basic obedience, behavior modification, and socialization to effectively garner a change in behavior. We work on breaking their current pattern of behavior and reactivity and show them a new way or pattern of acceptable behavior. Usually, 3 weeks work on most, but there are times when a dog’s case is particularly difficult and more time may be required. $1,600 for each additional week required.

Puppy Training Package
4 private one-on-one lessons to teach you all you need to know about your brand new puppy and how to teach it basic commands of come sit, down, and heel as well as answer questions regarding food, socialization, potty training, etc.

Basic Training Package
5 private one-on-one lessons utilizing a balanced positive and aversive reinforcement methodology to gain obedience in the commands: come (or here), sit, down, stand, heel, place, door etiquette, off or Out, leave it, drop it, and stop unwanted behavior of jumping, nipping, chewing, etc.

Advanced In-Home Training
10 private one-on-one lessons utilizing a balanced positive and aversive reinforcement methodology to gain obedience in the commands: come (or here), sit, down, heel, place, off, and leave it and adding duration and distance as well as off-leash work if possible. Also, teach cool tricks and/or other advanced commands like extended distance sit/down, sit in motion, touch, mark, through, crawl, weave, sit pretty, etc. All done in the comfort of your home. Also, address any behavioral issues experienced in the home.

Advanced Training Package
10 private one-on-one training sessions in our facility or location of our choosing. Commands learned will be come, sit, place, down, heel, and help to stop unwanted behavior like jumping, counter surfing, nipping, etc. We will also work on getting obedience from a distance, trying to get your dog off-leash if safe and even some trick training or other advanced commands like through, touch, focus, bow, weave, crawl, play dead, sit pretty, etc.

Structured Socialization Sessions
Does your dog experience anxiety and fear when having to meet people, dogs, or new situations? We can help your dog become more socialized and happy with the world around them, so they can stop living in fear. Help your furry friend find freedom from fear! $75/Hour, $150/Day Session, $2,500/Month Unlimited.

Basic In-Home Lessons
Five (5) customized individual lessons utilizing a balance of positive and aversive reinforcement. We train the obedience in the commands: “Come,” “Sit,” “Down,” “Heel,” “Stand,” “Place,” “Off,” “Leave it,” “Drop it,” Distance “Sit” and “Down” as well as hand signals and some tricks. If safe, we work towards off-leash training as well. This is all done in the comfort of your home and allows the trainer to address any behavioral issues experienced in the home.
